Radiesse® is a dermal cosmetic filler that is used for smoothing moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Radiesse® is also used for correcting volume loss in the back of the hands.
How does Radiesse® work?
Radiesse® is a longer lasting, thicker dermal filler consisting of Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres in an aqueous gel. It is injected deeper than the other materials with greater volume augmentation. Once injected under the skin, it adds instant volume while stimulating the body to produce its own natural collagen. Over time, the gel is absorbed, and the body metabolizes the CaHa microspheres so only natural collagen is left behind.
Radiesse® provides an immediate lift by restoring lost volume in the face, effectively treating wrinkle lines and folds and thereby offering patients a more refreshed and youthful appearance.
Radiesse® is an excellent option for adding volume to:
- Smile Lines
- Marionette Lines (lines that run down from the corner of the mouth)
- Pre-Jowl Folds
- Corners of the Mouth
- Chin Wrinkles
Radiesse® is the only filler considered safe and effective by the FDA to correct lost volume in the back of the hands.
Radiesse® restores volume loss in the face as well as the back of hands to recover a more natural look without the effects of aging and without surgery. These results can last up to a year or more in many patients.
